The Institute builds on much of what the Forum has achieved, particularly the Political Internship Programme and meetings and events covering developments in the Scottish Parliament. In its new form, the Institute is also able to deliver new activities. Governance and public administration are important topics in both the UK and Europe, as well as further afield, and will remain so for the foreseeable future. The Institute is able to draw on the University's unparalleled expertise in this area, collaborating with others as appropriate, notably in the School of Social and Political Studies.
