Nations and Regions research programme: Dissemination of Research Results

The team has an excellent record of disseminating research by means of books, research monographs, articles and conference papers. The Institute of Governance has its own highly successful quarterly journal Scottish Affairs. We propose to publish results in the main journals in sociology, social psychology, social anthropology, and political science, as well as possibly writing a book on the impact of constitutional change on national identities in these islands.

As the programme develops we shall institute a seminar programme and, as and when appropriate, briefing workshops for users. At the conclusion of the programme we shall organise a conference to present the main findings and provoke further discussion with other work going on in these islands and elsewhere.

These more traditional methods are supplemented by the creation of a web site which is an important method of disseminating our discussions and findings, as well as developing our international links with researchers working on aspects of constitutional change and territorial identities.
