Enrolment into the programme is highly selective and will be restricted to no more than twenty students in any semester. Entry will be restricted to students who have completed at least two years of study at their home institution. The applicants' standard of English has to be very high - full competency in writing and speaking English is an indispensable prerequisite to intern successfully with the Parliament, as interns are often requested to answer the telephone, take notes and write letters, briefing papers, press releases, reports, etc. Applications: The closing dates for applications are as follows:
Late applications may be considered depending on space. Applications must be supported by a transcript of your academic record and by two academic references (recommendations), together with a 500 word essay on why you wish to participate in the Internship Programme. A decision on admission will normally be made within four weeks of the receipt of a completed application form." |
