End
of April '05, and the time had come for another farewell. Time seemed
to have been in a terrible rush since mid-January, when 25 interns had
started the Institute's Political Internship Programme. In the splendour
of the Rainy Hall in New College, more than half a dozen MSPs and a few
of the researchers the interns had been working with during the previous
ten weeks in the Scottish Parliament gathered with their professors for
an informal and highly entertaining farewell reception. David McCrone,
the Director of the Institute of Governance, handed out the scrolls for
the successful completion of the internship to the students, and the
MSPs were generous in their praise for the work the interns had been
undertaking and the valuable contribution they made to the Parliament.

Waving their scrolls - looks as if these guys enjoyed
their internship.
