The Institute continues to be involved in major research projects on national identity, nationalism, and territorial politics. For example, the end of this decade will see two crucial elections, in 2010 for the UK parliament, and 2011 for the Scottish parliament, both of which may well help determine the future shape of the United Kingdom.
