Reports

• Recovering mental health in Scotland: Recovery from Social Movement to Policy Goal

  Recovery is a central part of mental health policy in Scotland. Our report on recovery examines the way that this concept, which evolved primarily from the service user/consumer movement, made its way into policy in Scotland.

• Indicating mental health in Scotland

  Indicators have become a central tool for policy making for mental health in Scotland. Our work on indicators reflects on the way that indicators are put to use by the government and services providers. We reflect on whether there can be said to be such a thing as a Scottish way of using indicators.

• WHO, Mental Health and Europe

  We have produced a report detailing the production of WHO Europe's Mental Health Declaration and Action Plan for Europe released in 2005.

• Scotland and WHO

  This report examines the relationship between Scotland and WHO Europe within the context of the 2005 Helsinki Ministerial Conference on Mental Health and the resulting documents and policies.

• Consultation as Public Action: Towards a Mentally Flourishing Scotland

  This report details our findings from the observation of the Scottish Government's consultation process for Towards a Mentally Flourishing Scotland. This consultation process developed a policy document to guide the next stage of the National Programme for Improving Mental Health and Wellbeing.

• Mapping knowledge in Scotland

  Phase One of our project involved mapping the actors and knowledge mobilised in the mental health policy community in Scotland. This phase of the project is now complete and the final report is available.

• Mapping knowledge in Europe

  Four of the twelve teams that comprise the European-wide project consortium we collaborate with have created a document that synthesises the results of the individual country reports for Phase One.
